Why?
The Doctoriales legislatives is a bilingual (French/English) seminar bringing together young researchers and experts from the parliamentary world. This initiative by the Research Chair in Legislative Studies of the University of Luxembourg, in partnership with a number of academic and legislative institutions, provides a unique forum for exchange on :
History and institutionalisation of representative democracy
Key speeches on the comparative foundations of representative democracy
Public affairs, ethics and professional conduct in co-legislative institutions (Constitutional Court, Council of State, parliaments, etc.)
Comparative parliamentary law
Parliaments and regional economic governance (EU, NAFTA, Mercosur, SADC, etc.)
Multi-level parliamentarisms
Law, science, technology and parliament
Parliaments and international affairs
Citizens and law-making (deliberative democracy, participatory democracy, direct democracy and representative democracy)
Conditions for participation
🎓 Registered doctoral student or confirmed researcher, from an institution, a university or a think tank 🗣 Fluency in French and English (B2 minimum required)
